FAQs

The answer varies, depending on several factors:

- Where will you be building? Will we need to go through a community review board process?

- What is your ideal move-in date? PVD will tailor your design timeline to your desired construction completion date.

- How much "homework" have you done toward gathering ideas and knowing what you want in your new home?

The most important thing to keep in mind is that you cannot start the design process too soon, but you can start too late!  It's never ideal to rush this important process.

If you've got ideas, we'll take them!  Pictures of interiors and exteriors that inspire you, plans you've sketched on graph paper (or a cocktail napkin), lists of important rooms and their sizes...the list goes on.  The more information the better, in order to fully communicate your vision.  And possibly most importantly - your land.  Are you building on sprawling acreage? A lot in a golf course community? A homesite on the beach, a lake or the Intracoastal Waterway? The parameters of your building site will inform so much of what we will design together.

Choosing the right builder for your dream home is crucial.  Plan View Design will work closely with a contractor you have already selected, or we are happy to suggest several exceptionally qualified builders that we feel are a good match for your construction needs.  We only partner with the best of the best!

Plan View Design has the distinct pleasure of calling two places "home" - Southeastern North Carolina and Northeast Kansas.  No matter where YOU plan to call "home," we can connect virtually or in person, to begin designing your dreams.
